So Close!
“Slacken the tension, borne of your efforts.” (Patañjali Yoga Sūtra, II:47)
Our best golf is often closer than we think. Whether it’s struggling with a swing change or upgrading a putting stroke, peak performance can often feel miles away.
A significant obstacle to our improvement is mental tension. We try so hard to develop our game. We push, strain, and cling to the outcome of every shot. This self-inflicted struggle shoves the breakthroughs farther down the road.
When we trust in the correct process, progress occurs sooner. As the wise Patañjali said a few thousand years ago, “Slacken the tension, borne of your efforts.” Your best golf is close!
