Pin Placements? No Problem.
Pin placements often create an unnecessary and overly-aggressive target line for approach shots. A simple strategy of hitting to the middle of the green will give the average golfer more room for error. “Sucker pins” (such as tucked behind a bunker or the far edge of a green) may not be worth the risk if ultimately shooting the lowest score possible is our goal.
Although this isn’t the most exciting strategy, at the end of the round, it will be entertaining to watch our golf buddies comparing scores. The smart approach shots will pay off. After all, golf is a game of misses. Let’s miss our shots better.
