A Fearful Swing Rarely Produces a Courageous Shot
“He played with the body language that shouted, ‘This next shot is going to be the greatest shot you have ever seen’.” -Tom Lehman commenting on Seve Ballesteros.
Fearlessness is a byproduct of confidence in golf. Each shot has the opportunity to be the “greatest shot you have ever seen.”
Managing our ever-present self-sabotaging ways is the practice. Doubt, tension, and fear only interfere with our efforts to put our best foot forward. It’s our responsibility to have mental conviction over every shot.
Whether we’re attempting to out-kick the competition, or simply challenge our nemesis hole, let’s strive for more bravery in our game. Remember, a fearful swing rarely produces a courageous shot. How can you harness your “inner Seve” and raise your current confidence level?
