We can infer from Tiger’s infamous quote, “I just couldn’t get my glutes to fire,” that he must have forgotten to do his Bridge Pose.
This simple golf yoga exercise strengthens the back of the legs, especially the glutes, leading to a more powerful lower body move in the golf swing.
Begin reclined, and then slowly roll-up into Bridge Pose. To modify, keep both feet on the ground. To increase the intensity, lift one leg at a time. Hold for 5-10 deep breaths and repeat on the other side.
*Avoid or modify if there is an injury.
