Take Your Range Swing to the First Tee
Frequently golfers complain they are hitting the ball perfectly on the driving range and then proceed to the first tee and their swing becomes a disaster.
The correct assessment of the breakdown is not what’s wrong with your swing, but how are you practicing?
Are you practicing like you play? Rarely do we hit thirty 7-irons in a row on the course (hopefully). Why do we spend a majority of our practice session hitting thirty 7-irons in a row? There is a time and place for this “block practicing,” however, taking your best game to the first tee demands a more dynamic practice session. Try this drill for at least 50% of your upcoming practice sessions:
Driving Range Drill:
Change clubs and change targets on every shot. Go through your full pre-shot routine for every shot.
