No Fly Zone
Eliminating a “flying elbow” in the backswing assists with a better swing path and transition into the downswing.
The right/back elbow ideally remains at a 90-degree angle at the top of the backswing. Not everyone’s shoulder will allow this physically to happen. No problem! You can still hit great golf shots.
This exercise will assist in gradually bringing the elbow into a more neutral position.
Gently hook the left hand behind the right elbow at the backswing position. Lightly guide the right elbow toward the 90-degree position/perpendicular to the ground.
If possible, hold for 3-5 breaths and repeat 5 times.
*Avoid or modify if there is injury.
