Top 6 Equipment Tips For Buying A Better Golf Game
1. ”Date your driver, marry your putter”. Feel free to shop around for the latest and greatest driver. There are plenty of fish in that sea. Just make sure you always give your putter plenty of lovin. Monogamy works best. (Don’t even think about changing your putter. . .Unless you have the “yips”, and then come see me first.)
2. 60 degree wedge? Yes please! My favorite is Cleveland. *Please practice a lot with your new 60 degree wedge before taking it to the course.
3. Steel or Graphite shafts? If you like the feel of a heavy club and have a higher club head speed, stick with steel. I prefer a lighter graphite shaft. Everyone is unique.
4. Hybrids –ecofriendly indeed. Much easier to hit than long irons, hybrids are the new black. Replace your 3, 4 and 5 irons with hybrids this season.
5. Look and Feel. No matter what the fancy computer and launch monitor says, the club has to look and feel good to you.
6. Lastly, take a lesson. Sparkly new clubs can’t swing themselves. . .
