Bounce Back from Bad Bounces
“A person who enters a venture with great ambition, will be able to get the full results, only when s/he is able to withstand difficulties and obstacles that come in the way. Abandoning the venture halfway, is like slipping while walking.“
-Tirumalai Krishnamacharya
Whether it’s an unlucky bounce, triple bogey, or a tee-shot hit out-of-bounds, we all suffer setbacks in this game. While technical breakdowns occur, it’s important to resolve mental mistakes.
- Have a plan. Choose the smart strategy.
- Manage tension levels. Check grip pressure and tension in the neck, shoulders, jaw, and fore-arms.
- Breathe! Neutralize adrenaline levels with a deep, slow belly breath.
We are reminded to slacken the tension, borne of our efforts. It’s an endless process. Even when we stumble, keep walking.
