Downswing Hokey-Pokey

“You put your right elbow in.
You put your right elbow out.
You put you right elbow in and you shake it all about…”
With too much “flying elbow,” the shot’s unpredictable outcome will be either hokey, a slice, or pokey, a pull…with a very good chance of missed contact.
As a video checkpoint, notice the position of the right elbow and forearm at the halfway point on the downswing. Technically, most good ball strikers keep the shaft of the club matching their right/back forearm. (Pictured above)
A very technical and advanced position that will encourage better swing path and directional consistency. Save the Hokey-Pokey for the roller rink.
