Free the Shoulders for a Better Backswing
Struggling to keep your left/lead arm “straight”? This may be a result of tight shoulders and tricep muscles in the left/lead arm.

Try this simple golf-specific stretch to improve your backswing’s range of motion (pictured above).
Begin in golf posture. Rotate the upper body to the backswing with your left/lead arm. Gently apply pressure with the right arm to increase the backswing rotation.
You may feel a light and gradual stretch through the shoulder, triceps/back of the arm, and back muscles as you increase coil along the spine.
*Avoid or modify if there is an injury.
